Colorpro announced that it has completed the installation of decorative architectural glass at the newly-renovated American Airlines terminal at Los Angeles International Airport.

Philip Vourvoulis, creative director at Colorpro, in association with artist and architect Susan Narduli, developed innovative glass for her artwork, titled “The Wonders of the Heavens and Flying,” which embraces and celebrates the spirit of flight. In addition to developing glass products for Narduli, Colorpro worked with architects Rivers & Christian, the firm responsible for the design and structural elements of the terminal renovation.

“The glass installation at LAX is the most comprehensive example of what we are capable of doing and is one of our largest decorative glass projects ever completed,” said Philip Vourvoulis. “We implemented an ambitious combination of design and manufacturing techniques to carry out the architects’ visions. The glass integrates color, texture, translucent materials, and a blend of elements that people are not going to see elsewhere.”

Some of the highlights of Colorpro’s work include:
Inlayed glass floor, illuminated from underneath, surrounding Naduli’s art depicting the 12 planets of the solar system and giant images of men in motion.
