Earlier this year, CET Glass announced major investment in a new Bystronic high-speed IGU line as part of its long-term strategy for growth, helping to increase capacity by 30% as well as improving product quality.This was in addition to improvements made in its manufacturing processes and expansive employee development programmes, including Manufacturing of Excellence lean training to all staff personnel.
The new laminating system combines two machines for float/laminated cutting with soft coat edge deletion using the Hegla Twin Edge Deletion System (patent pending). The system is made up of an Optimax Float Table with automatic belt positioning and the EcoLam Plus Laminated Table with automatic measuring, working in combination with the Optimax/EcoLam Plus computer systems. The EcoLam Plus also includes unloading arms for large laminated cut pieces, float cutting is from 3mm to 12mm and the laminated glass can be up to 6mm + 6mm with interlayer.
