CelSian-NCNG International Glass Technology course Eindhoven, 8-12 September, 2014

Introduction & Summary: Each year, CelSian Glass & Solar B.V. organizes a five-days, comprehensive Glass Technology training course for the international glass industry.

This course was developed in cooperation with the NCNG (National Committee Netherlands Glass industry).  

The next course is scheduled from Monday, 8th September till Friday 12th September, 2014 (5 days) at CelSian Glass & Solar in Eindhoven, The Netherlands. The course is open for the employees of international glass producing industries and related suppliers.

This in-depth course covers many aspects of glass and glass production: from raw materials to formed product, including glass structure & properties and glass melting technology. The teachers of the course have more than 20 years glass technology experience each. Since 1990, this course has been given to more than 900 employees from glass industries worldwide.

All presentations will be presented in the English language. All participants will receive a comprehensive text book (800 pages).

This five-day training course is being offered to employees of Glass Trend member companies for EUR 2300,- per participant, and for non-Glass Trend members for EUR 3000,- per participant, including an introductory e-learning course by internet (new!) and excluding taxes/duties, hotel accommodation and travel costs. The new interactive e-learning course involves the watching of 10 short films and answering multiple choice questions via a website on internet, All participants will receive a personal user name and password 2 weeks preceding the classical course, so that they can take this course at any time during this 2 weeks period. The required time to take this introductory course is around 2-3 hours.

Cancellation fee:

Cancellations before August 1st, 2014 are free of charge.

August 1st – August 31st, 2014: 50% of the registration fee will be charged.

September 1st – September 7th, : 75% of the registration fee will be charged.

No show: full registration fee will be charged.

This training course will take place in the case that we receive registrations of minimum 16 participants (the typical size of the class is 16-25 students). The tentative program can be found in the program booklet.

Target group

The course is meant for entrants in the glass industry or suppliers of the glass industry, young glass technologists and scientists or as extra education for practically experienced engineers in the glass industry to receive a more basic understanding of glass production.

Level: high technical and academic.
