Cascadia Windows are honoured to announce that their new product line of fiberglass windows and doors, the Universal Series, has won the Canadian Green Building Council’s 2018 award: Green Building Product of the Year.

CaGBC is a leading organization in pursuing green developments and accelerating the movement towards a sustainable future. CaGBC’s annual product awards focus on environmental significance and criteria including “sustainability, transparency and verification, innovation, and application.”

Aiming to address growing concerns around environmental impacts caused by buildings, the Universal Series offers a solution that can reduce energy consumption. This new product line provides windows and doors with exceptional thermal performance, durability against external forces, aesthetics and structural capacity to the extent of achieving commercial grade strength and passive-house-level performance.

Below is a congratulatory acknowledgement from the president and CEO of the CaGBC, Thomas Mueller.

“I’d like to congratulate Cascadia Windows on winning the 2018 CaGBC Green Building Product of the Year Award. Since it was founded in 2008, Cascadia has consistently pushed the boundaries of traditional manufacturing, innovating windows and doors that can improve efficiency up to 85 per cent. Their Universal Series of solidly constructed products that have a lifespan of 50+ years are once again pushing the envelope and should make their peers take note: made-in Canada green building products are the future of our low-carbon economy.”
