In the wake of a surge in armed and violent intrusions into school buildings around the country, Calvert County [Md.] Public Schools has hired Commercial Window Shield to install safety and security film on the doors and windows in all of its buildings.
The Maryland project continues a trend in which school and community officials nationwide have stepped up their efforts to secure their buildings to protect their children and school employees.Glass protection is critical because there have been instances in previous school tragedies where intruders entered the building by breaking exposed glass windows or doors.
