The group states that both orders are individually amongst the largest in the 40+ year history of the Bystronic company in the structural glass area.
Both projects involve the installation of highly automated complete systems that enable customers to process glass from storage through cutting to insulating glass production in one continuous economical production process.
“Demand for complete system solutions has grown recently. We are proud that two of the most important European glass processors, Scheuten, a producer of complete glass solutions with headquarters in Venlo (Netherlands), and Glasid AG in Essen (Germany) have now chosen systems from Bystronic,” explains Richard Jakob, CEO of the Bystronic glass group. “Thanks to the technical consulting we provided in the initial stages and optimum alignment of the systems relating to customer needs and production conditions, our customers will soon be able to operate their glass processing at a highly efficient, ultra-modern level.”
The key feature of both system solutions is a customer-specific logistics concept and intelligent networking in relation to individual machines. Integration of the dynamic and fully automatic sorting system first´sort, the core element of the systems, ensures consistently high productivity and optimum use of available production areas. At the same time, the failure costs previously relating to incorrect sorting or damage due to inappropriate handling is completely eliminated.
Bystronic has already proved its competence as a provider of complete solutions for structural glass at glasstec last Fall/Autumn in Düsseldorf. At a total length of over 100 meters, the sample first´factory system concept presented there was entirely the longest contiguous production system at the exhibition.
Bystronic Secures Contracts For Record Orders
The Bystronic glass group has negotiated two significantly large orders almost simultaneously, both within the multi-million Euro range.
