A BD1.25 million industry which involves the largest glass oven will soon be established in Bahrain.An agreement has been signed between Al Yousef Glass and Mirror Company and Finnish company Tamglass for the project which is the biggest of its kind in the region.
Company general manager Basem Al Yousef said the oven would cost 1.5million Euros (BD750,000) in addition to the cost of building the utility at a cost of BD500,000.Al Yousef added that the oven that features the latest technologies in the glass industry will increase the production of 200-250metres to 850 metres a day to cater to the huge demand of the market in Bahrain.
Al Yousef added that since the production would be high it would also be exported to Saudi Arabia and Qatar. It will also provide job opportunities for 80 employees, 80 percent of whom will be Bahrainis, he said.
Tamglass has delivered over 1700 production lines to more than 70 countries.
