Greenstein, director of engineering and information technology integration, and Marlow, product information manager, will be honored at AIAG's Annual Outstanding Achievement Awards Dinner on August 31, 2004, at the Detroit Marriott Renaissance Hotel.Nick Scheele, president and chief operating officer of Ford Motor Company, will provide the keynote address for the event.

The annual award program recognizes those automotive industry employees who have given their time and expertise to help AIAG advance toward cooperation throughout the supply chain. Any AIAG member who is an active participant in work groups, project teams or steering committees is eligible for an award nomination. Nominations for Outstanding Achievement Awards are submitted by peers, AIAG members and AIAG staff representatives.
Greenstein is recognized for his leadership as chairman for the 2003 AIAG Collaborative Engineering and Product Development Steering Committee, as well as numerous other contributions to AIAG.
Greenstein is responsible for coordinating the integration of Product Lifecycle Management tools across Visteon's product development and manufacturing functions. Prior to this role, he was director of engineering information technology and oversaw Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE), Product Information Management (PIM), and Knowledge-Based Engineering (KBE) corporate-wide. Greenstein has worked for Ford and Visteon for nearly 30 years in a variety of engineering, advanced manufacturing and supplier quality positions. He holds a bachelor's degree, master's degree and a doctorate in electrical engineering from Case Western Reserve, as well as a master's degree in business administration from Wayne State University.
Marlow is being recognized based on his leadership contribution to two AIAG work groups: the Digital Engineering Visualization (DEV) Work Group and the Product Data Quality Work Group. Additionally, Marlow is co-chair of the AIAG DEV Work Group, chair of the Strategic Automotive Standards Industry Group (SASIG) DEV Work Group and a member of the AIAG Product Data Quality Work Group.
The DEV Work Group was formed in 2002 to assist those who are using or contemplating the use of digital engineering visualization tools. The mission of the work group is to establish globally accepted practices, guidelines, technologies and standards that facilitate implementation of DEV, enabling collaboration among automakers and suppliers. The PDQ Work Group was formed in 1999 and is responsible for helping to establish a common set of guidelines, standards and practices for developing and producing quality products.
Marlow has more than 20 years of experience in automotive product design. He also serves as chairman of the Visteon engineering Computer-Aided Design (CAD) Standards Committee. During his tenure at Ford and Visteon, Marlow has held a variety of positions in product engineering and engineering information technology. He has a bachelor's degree in management from the University of Michigan - Dearborn.
Automotive Industry Action Group Recognizes Two Visteon Employees for Outstanding Achievement
The Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG), a not-for-profit association based in Southfield, Mich., has recognized Eugene Greenstein and Philip Marlow of Visteon Corporation as recipients of the organization's 2004 Outstanding Achievement Awards.
