Asahi Glass Co., Ltd. (AGC) confirms that its European subsidiary, Glaverbel S.A. received a Statement of Objections* on March 13, 2007 from the European Commission with respect to alleged anticompetitive behavior in the flat glass sector in Europe.
The Statement of Objections follows inspections carried out by the European Commission at the premises of Glaverbel S.A. on February 22 and 23, 2005.AGC and Glaverbel S.A. will examine the European Commission’s preliminary findings as reported in the Statement of Objections and will respond in due course.
