The net profit of Asahi India Glass has plunged by 69.59% during the quarter ended June 30, 2006. The company posted a net profit after tax of Rs 49.83 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 as compared with Rs 163.87 million for the corresponding quarter in 2005.
However, the total revenue (net of excise) of the company increased to Rs 1736.47 million for the quarter ended June 30, 2006 from Rs 1555.73 million for the corresponding quarter last year.
Asahi India Safety Glass was established in 1987 with the objective of providing safety glass to the rapidly expanding and modernising Indian automobile industry.
