New solid polymer features all the benefits of Asahi Glass' best selling solvent grades plus higher application rate and VOC compliancy.

AGA Chemicals Inc., a subsidiary of Japan's Asahi Glass Company, has introduced Lumiflon LF-710F, the 100 percent solid polymerfor powder coatings. In addition to featuring all the benefits of Lumiflon's best-selling solvent-soluble fluoropolymers which include superior corrosion-resistance, UV resistance, solubility and appearanceLumiflon LF-710F boasts a 90-98 percent application rate (vs. 70-80% in solvent grades) and compliancy with international VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds) environmental standards. Produced by the same technology as Asahi Glass fluoropolymer coatings and combined with over 15 years of research, Lumiflon LF-710F is ideal for automobile parts, window frames, patio furniture and bicycles.

Lumiflon LF-710F is the only polymer powder that is immediately VOC compliant and needs no special equipment for processing. Other solid polymers require an initial heating process to rid harmful by-products, followed by a cryogenic freezing phase before it can be grounded and incorporated into a powder coating, costing extra time and money.
