Ardagh Group has completed the acquisition of the Boxal group of companies from Exal Corporation in a deal worth around €85 million.

The deal means Ardagh will significantly enhance its position in the European aerosol market.

The firm has purchased Boxal France, Boxal Netherlands and Szenna Pack.

Boxal is a technically advanced aluminium container manufacturer supplying aerosols and bottles to a wide variety of industries including cosmetics, pharmaceutical, food and beverages.
