Anchor Glass Completes Upgrade

Anchor Glass Container Corporation (Nasdaq:AGCC) announced that it has completed two furnace rebuilds at its facility in Salem, New Jersey.

The Salem plant operates three furnaces and six forming machines. Approximately 310 people are employed at the plant, which manufactures flint glass containers for the beverage industry.

Anchor Glass Container is the third-largest manufacturer of glass containers in the United States. It has nine strategically located facilities where it produces a diverse line of flint (clear), amber, green and other colored glass containers for the beer, beverage, food, liquor and flavored alcoholic beverage markets.
