American Insulated Glass is increasing production capacity at its Conley, Georgia facility, with a 32,000-square-foot facility expansion.

According to a company release, development planning started eight months ago, and customers can expect increased production beginning in June.

The production space is being added to AIG’s current 40,000 square feet. Equipment added during the expansion includes a North Glass full convection double bay furnace sold and serviced by HHH Tempering Resources, an additional insulated glass line, and an added automatic cutting table and retrieval system.

“We are excited for the opportunity to bring the marketplace high quality products with greater efficiency and in reduced time," says Richard Freeman, founder of AIG. "Our clients deserve the best products and service, and this expansion makes that possible.”

AIG’s delivery fleet will grow to meet the additional need, with new southeastern delivery routes and locations being considered. The number of new AIG employees needed to meet growing production capacity has yet to be determined.
