The main idea of glass recycling is to recover and reuse waste glass for new products. Recycling means saving energy and conserve the environment.

 When bottles and jars are collected for recycling, different colours must be separated as mixed coloured glass cannot be recycled. Then the glass is crushed into cullet. The addition of this cullet reduces the amount of heat needed to melt a new batch of raw materials. By way of example: each tonne of cullet saves 1,1 tonnes of raw materials. It is also easier to manufacture new glass products from recycled glass than from raw material. Visit some interesting recycling sites with us.
