Nieuwland - the Solar City

Whether you are sceptical or enthusiastic about photovoltaic technology, you are certain to be impressed by the 1 MWp Nieuwland project.

Nieuwland, located just outside Amersfoort in the Netherlands, is one of the world's largest solar districts. It is capable of producing enough electricity to be completely self-sufficient. Energy is collected from sunlight using photovoltaic modules which are incorporated into roofs, gables and canopies. This surely required a superior level of creativity and genius. If you are curious, visit with the city of the future through Glass On Web.
