The new vertical edging machine EM of For.El. S.p.a.

If your are capable to anticipate the market needs, you are the company who makes a change and not the one undergoing it. Following the great success of Glasstec 2008 in Düsseldorf, the brand new vertical edging machine type EM, is now ready to enter the international market.

For.El., leading company in the production of glass processing machines, has designed the highly performing machine for all the tempering companies able to process every kind of shape and which automatically detects its dimensions. (self-detection).

Thanks to its practical and highly productive system, our grinding machine ‘EM’, enables to halve the process timing of all shapes (90 glasses of 4 m perimeter per hour) and it makes also possible to square every kind of glass without damaging the coating since the glass is steadily held by a suction cups system installed on a special truck.

This machine is able to get into proportion and square removing also a big quantity of material of glass sheets both related to the structural IG production and the tempering. Therefore, it enables the removal of all those imperfections caused by the cutting, e.g. the laminated, trimmed and radiate glass, obtaining thus, a perfect finishing.

The vertical edging machine EM is very versatile, being suitable for both rectangular and curved shapes, it strongly reduces the process timing of the unpolished edge of the glass with various thicknesses, keeping up in this way with the production time of the IG line.

The machine is made up of two main bodies:

-   The first is the machine body itself whose metallic structure is made up of an anticorrosive bi-component material. The inside part and all the mechanisms are in stainless steel, aluminium and other synthetic materials in order to limit the corrosive and abrasive effects generated by the fluids.

-  The second one is the control panel which is independent from the main machine structure. It is installed on a metallic support and it has an industrial PC controlling all the machine functions.

During the edging, the glass is carried by a band equipped with suction cups which move in synchrony and horizontally while the edging head moves vertically.

Its primary and secondary wheels allow to process different thicknesses as well as different types of glass whose dimensions can vary from 350x300mm to 4500x3200 mm  and thicknesses from 3 to 20 mm.

These are the most important strong points of the edging machine:

- halved process time

- self-detection of the dimensions

- advantageous vertical process

- shapes edging

- possibility of substantial glass removals

- better edge finishing

- equalised finishing of the sheet

Once again For.El. is in the lead and it proposes a machine which all the temperers were expecting granting high productivity levels and the quality of a product entirely made in For.El. headquarters in Italy.
