First edition of GPD India conference ended
|
The glass conference which is similar to the biannual sister forum GPD in Finland was held from 5 to 6 December in New Delhi, India. The debut of GPD India was dedicated to the development of the global glass industry and consisted of a glass conference, several workshops and a glass product exhibition.

 GPD – The Glass Performance Days – has earned a reputation as the leading summit of the global glass community.
Conferences have been staged to date and they have brought together the key decision makers and influencers of the global glass industry ranging from architects and designers, researchers and university teachers to glass processors and equipment suppliers worldwide.
GPD has now expanded its international presence from its origins in Finland to India. This first ever GPD India Conference was arranged in collaboration with the ZAK Trade fairs & Exhibition PVT, Ltd – the organizers of the Glass Technology India Exhibition.
The two day conference presented the following topics:
•Practical sessions focusing on glass processing, high performance security glass, new coating technologies with a special view on energy efficiency.
• An architectural session focusing on architectural trends, case studies and standards.
• A session on solar glass with a special view on the challenges and opportunities for the glass industry
