China Glass 2008
|
The 19th China International Glass Industrial Technical Exhibition (China Glass 2008) is held at the China International Exhibition Center on April 10-13, 2008. The exhibition has 736 exhibitors, coming from 21 countries, including China, Germany, Italy, the US, Belgium, the UK, France, Finland, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Czech, Austria, Australia, Israel, Jordan, Japan, Korea, India, Indonesia and Singapore, among them there are 248 foreign exhibitors. Germany, Italy, the US and Belgium organized their state exhibition groups to participate in this event. The exhibition area reaches 53,000 square meters and more than 30,000 professional visitors are expected to come to the show from the world over.

Numerous world-famous professional glass companies show up at the exhibition, which demonstrate a great number of new technologies, equipment and products, representing the current development of the international glass industry, such as batch plants and furnaces with a capacity of 1200 t/d, oxy-fuel firing technology and equipment, various glass-processing techniques, production technologies for LCD, PDP and TFT ultra-thin substrate glass, solar energy photoelectrical technology, and recycling and utilizing systems of cullet and waste fiber glass.
Simultaneously with the exhibition there are 9 technical seminars and the Seminar on Energy Conservation and Emission Reduction Technology of Glass Furnaces, which is jointly organized by the Chinese Ceramic Society, China Building Materials Federation, Chinese Architectural and Industrial Glass Association, American Ceramic Society and Glass Manufacturing Industry Council. In addition, an Official Reception given by the Germany Embassy and the GPD China 2008 will also be given during the exhibition period.
China Glass 2008 is fully supported by relevant government departments, including the China Building Materials Federation, China National Light Industry Council, China Machinery Industry Federation and China Association for Science and Technology and nationwide trade associations in China. Meanwhile, the exhibition has obtained energetic assistance and supports from other related organizations such as VDMA, Italian Trade Commission, GIMAV, Dame Associates Inc. and Belgian Embassy Trade Commission Awex-Brussels.
The China Glass Exhibition was launched for the first time in Shanghai in 1986. Owing to uninterrupted innovation and development in the past two decades, it has become one of the three largest international glass exhibitions in the world, as famous as glasstec, held in Düsseldorf, Germany, and VITRUM, held in Milan, Italy, and serves as a platform of the largest scale and greatest commercial significance in the Chinese glass industry for trade talks and technical exchanges.
