LC SmartGlass™
LC SmartGlass allows the user to flick a switch, immediately creating an private environment. When a minute current is applied, an instant reaction aligns the liquid crystal particles within the glass, allowing visibility. When the current is removed the particles scatter, replacing visibility with privacy.
LC SmartGlass can be used to create striking advertising displays. When in the off state, applying a projector to the rear of the screen can achieve near-TV quality.
LC SmartGlass can be used for external windows, partition screens, doors, teller screens, advertising displays and more. We can supply shapes, curved panels, double glazed units, drilled and fire-rated LC SmartGlass.
EC SmartGlass™
EC SmartGlass is an ecologically-friendly product using cutting-edge light control Electrochromic technology that allows users to change their environment at the flick of a switch. EC SmartGlass’ dimmable windows and skylights control glare and light, protect people and furnishings from damaging UV rays; conserve energy, and increase comfort, privacy and security. EC SmartGlass is clear when in the un-powered state and darkened when powered with only 2 volts.
A glass is Electrochromic if it is capable of changing its colour when voltage is applied.
