Glass scratch removal

When glass is used in windshields, stores and offices, it can be damaged by external stimuli such as hard objects, acid rain, chemicals, etc. Should these factors cause scratches which are not too deep, they can be repaired by one of several different processes/techniques.

Resent product development has made glass scratch removal and repairs a more viable option to replacement. Traditional methods of trying to polish deep scratches away have proved to be very time consuming and often with disappointing results. Now processes employing ?micro replication? are able to remove scratches previously thought to severe to remove. This method actually removes the surface glass to the point where it can get to the bottom of the scratch to then polish it back to its original clarity. This is accomplishing buy employing a series of special micro graded discs to quickly remove the necessary glass and then polish back the effected area. These discs are graded in various microns sizes to allow for the proper selection of disc to begin the restoration process.
Typically a water feed machine is used. This serves two purposes, one it keeps the glass at a safe temperature, two the water activates the discs. This process can be found used on commercial flat glass, auto glass, and tempered glass, glass graffiti repair, etc.
