Is glass a solid or a liquid?

If you look at glass it seems solid, if you touch it, it feels solid, right? But are you absolutely sure that it is not liquid?

This dilemma originates from the time when very old sheets of glass were removed from buildings. It appeared that the glass was thicker at the bottom than at the top. It was assumed that glass is liquid and flows towards the bottom over the years. The selected links will give you the answer to this dilemma.
