How to handle and store curved glass
|
Bent glass is simply flat glass which is heated to a specific temperature, at which point the glass softens sufficiently in order for it to be moulded to the required curve. After this final shape is obtained, the handling process differs from that of normal flat glass so as to prevent breakage.

Here are some useful tips on how to handle and store your bent glass: the glass should rest on 3 supports formed by wooden wedges, and must be single-stacked when the section angle is greater than 90 degrees. Storage on L-frame stands, covered with felt or rubber is also recommended. To avoid swaying, pay attention to curve and weight when moving glass.
